By Bus, Islamabad
Peshawar Jalalabad Bus Service
There are many buses which operate from Islamabad to
various cities in Punjab and N.W.F.P the No. 1 bus
service is no doubt Daewoo, The Korean Company but
there are quite a few Pakistani bus companies which
are not bad ! one of them is Dewan Express Bus
Service. Their Fares are 1/3 rd less than Daewoo and
the buses are imported from Japan. The only major
difference between the quality of Daewoo and Dewan
is that in Daewoo there are Bus hostesses which
aren't there in Dewan to serve you with drinks and
snacks ;-) Their bus station is in G-9 Markaz
(Centre) in Islamabad. From here you can easily
catch a bus for Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar,
Abbotabad, Mansehra and other cities.

OTHERS Hire a car
Its cheap and easy (Book a Car

would definitely recommend that people hire a
vehicle and driver while in Islamabad for at least
one day of sight seeing. The city is big and spread
out, and while there are cheap taxis, sometimes
having a $10-$15/day vehicle is just so much more
convenient and faster -- especially if you want to
go up to the Marghalla Hills and see Daman-e-Koh and
view points.
